Remember This Staycation Adventure

Me: Miles, you know that beard makes you look older. Miles: I want to look older! That way, when I go out people will say, “Oh! There’s an old man, I need to stay away from him or I’ll give him COVID. When there’s a vaccine, I’ll shave.” I love you! You haven’t left your condo since the middle of March - even answering the door to me makes you nervous, and you only go down to check your mail at midnight when you’re sure no one will be there. But, I love your eccentricities. I’m happy I was able to get you out of your condo to go to Publix to pick up an Instacart order (I thought you would need Valium, but you made it through). I agree that your home is the safest place to be right now. You have enough shelf-stable foods to last through the apocalypse. And, you care more about my health and safety than I do. I love you so much - you are the perfect man for me. I’m so glad that we are able to spend a few weeks together. July 12, 2020
