Description
*****VERY SENSITIVE INFORMATION to Read...I have removed it from the Random Challenge Thread & just posted a link to my very difficult, long & enduring health journey...*****PLEASE...SKIP If NEEDED TO DO SO *****

***Just skip down to the Red Astericks below for details on just the challenge...

***I ended up spending almost all of August in the hospital...[minus just a few days...]...& then I finally managed to make it home...from all of that difficulty...& I was only home for 5 days & I tripped & fell & hit my head...& seemingly, somehow pulled the drain I was wearing from the Gall Bladder surgery [that went Oh! So! Wrong!!!...]...even though I fell on the other side...I went to bed...All seemed well after the Paramedics left...But I awoke with my right side covered in blood...The drain was leaking & I was in dreadful pain...I had to call the Paramedics once again...I spent another 2 days in the ER & 3 more days in the hospital...I just got home on Tuesday,September 3rd...I have been through so much...in these many days...

It was just one complication after the other...It really is a lot that happened...Starting with 2 actual surgeries the first day I went in on August 8th for my actual Gal Bladder surgery...A supposedly simple 1 day surgery...In & out the same day...I awoke in recovery in massive amounts of pain...Nurses & doctors running towards me...I don't remember much...accept that I was in pain, passed out & was awoken again to a verbal agreeing of allowing a blood transfusion...Turns out there was a massive bleed internally that they either didn't see or missed...I don't rightly know...
So surgery 2...It took almost 3 more hours...So 2 surgeries later...almost 5 hours total for both...I once again woke up in recovery...& all seemed better,at least pain wise...but I was still wearing the dreaded stomach tube & drain attached to it...So,they couldn't really fix the problem...which will be proven in the days ahead...The drain was initially not leaking blood...but that would also change days later...So,I spent the next 5 days in Intensive Care...bed-ridden basically...and in a whole world of pain...The nurses were so kind, caring & wonderful! there too...They went above & beyond for me...for which I am so grateful...

Eventually,I was finally able to get out of bed with help & sit in a chair...but amidst all of this I wasn't allowed to eat anything!!!...I was on IV fluids, along with antibiotics & so much more...I had a physiotherapist help me to walk with a walker...It seemed like I was getting better finally again...So,even though the pain was still hard,I wasn't sick enough to stay in the ICU anymore...They moved me up to the 5th floor...All seemed to be getting better...but for some reason the pain wasn't getting much better...& they weren't sure why...They sent me for more & more tests,CT scans MRIs & dye tests...They all seemed inconclusive...either way, they ended up moving me to the 2nd Floor with hopes that things would improve...& they seemed to for a few days...I was walking on my own to the bathroom with my IV & walking the halls & so on...I was feeling positive again...but then something very bad happened...

I had to go to the washroom & got up to go...but something just didn't feel right either...I passed out in the bathroom...& my head was on my way to falling off to the left...when the nurse came back to check on me [unknown to me,as I was passed out ] ...She pounded on the door...[the doors are never locked there...]...& burst in to find me passed out & covered in blood...A Code was called in the hospital...All I remember was several people picking me up & lifting me back to my bed...There was loud noises lights flashing & so many people all around me...I finally came to...& they made sure I stayed awake,as one nurses job was just to hold my hand & make me talk to stay awake...I saw at least 5 doctors...& at least 8 or 9 nurses all around me...One specialist had a machine to try to find a vein to put in a central line...as they had already blew 15 blood vessels in my left arm already trying in the ICU & at least 10 in my right arm already...Those veins were completely closed off & not working for an IV...They were trying to put a central line in me by now...It was internal below bleeding...I had a total of 10 liters of blood that night & in the next few days...I couldn't control the blood or stop it...I was soaked & completely terrified...It took days to get that bleeding under control...so back to the 5th floor I went...[the surgical floor]...After that shock...I was once again moved back to the 2nd floor...same room & bed...[that's where they hope you will go home soon...]...But Oh! no...Yet another complication...

It was about 3:30 A.M...I awoke to many multiple stomach spasms...I called them contractions...but they were uncontrollable...constant...bladder contractions...They gave me 3 shots of Dilaudid for pain & it did nothing...I just held my stomach & kept contracting...The nurses gave me several warm blankets to try to slow them down...It helped a bit but did nothing to slow the contractions...The doctor had already been called but he was of course,in surgery...So,I just laid there, convulsing & wondered how much more I could take before I passed out completely...In the meantime, there was a nurse with me in constant asking me a bunch of questions...The nurses finally figured out what was going on,of course...I have a lot of severe allergies to almost everything...One being LATEX!!!...I told them so many times that I lost count...I am severely allergic to latex!!!!...Do not give me a Catheter with latex in it...It was even on the 2 of my hospital wrist bands...as one of the several severe allergies I have...I can't believe this happened to me!!!...They gave me a Catheter with latex in it!!!...So,the nurses were getting ready to remove it...when all of those spasms...just finally pushed it out...1 of the senior nurses there told me in 15 years of being a nurse, she had never seen anyone do that...I thought the nurse had taken it out...but apparently,my body pushed it out with the spasms...those spasms had gone on for almost 3 hours...by the time all was said & done...Right away, the spasms started to slow down & they just stopped completely...I couldn't believe it!!!...Just like that they had finally stopped!!!...They cleaned me up & no catheter...There was so much awfulness after that...throughout the night...but finally later the next day...[or evening]...I finally had control back of my bathroom issues...So,they sent me back up to the 5th floor that day...just in case something else happened...

I had a hard time with pain though in the ensuing days...It took longer than hoped to get the pain in a more tolerable state...I am still in pain now...I am struggling a bit more than I had hoped...but hopefully in the ensuing days...things will get better...I still haven't had my birthday cake or candles done yet for my August 11th Birthday...The cake is in the freezer & candles waiting for when I feel ready to tolerate them...stomach-wise...

I had to go back today to Clinic C [at the hospital] to see my Doctor today as scheduled from that last Saturday visit to the ER...I knew something was wrong again...No bleeding...but more pain than I should have & I was doing that feverish sweating thing...I knew I had yet another infection...She pulled out the drain...OMG!!!...The ensuing things that happened...I am not gonna describe to you...I will leave that out...But needless to say...I have more antibiotics to take at home...& I have to come back for another MRI Scan,as soon as they call me with the next available time at the hospital...& then back to Clinic C yet again next Friday...I'm really scared...This is very dangerous...When I got home,I collapsed on the couch & cried out of frustration & fear...How can this all be????...All happening to me???...

***I thought this challenge was interesting to try...I don't know what's gonna happen in the next coming days...I may end up back in the hospital...I know I have to get yet another drain put back in,after the next scans...to try again to drain out the infection...So,this may be the only layout I can complete this month...I just don't know yet...

***I chose the Random Object Wheel...And I got : Picture Frame : I decided to create a Vintage Frame with a lace doily, intricate shadowing, some paint, effects & torn effect on the lace...I guess the theme seems somewhat obvious to me...I sure do need as much Quiet! as I can get...Hospitals are very loud!...So,I muster all of the quiet! that I can find for myself...:wub ...now that I'm home...[at least for now]...
