@Cherylndesigns @flowersgal Thanks! This guy isn't too terribly skittish. He stayed around and ate, periodically lifted up his head (and this is one of those times), taken thru the window of my studio. When he did take off, he was limping. I checked back in my journaling on one of the days we saw deer last year, and I had notes about a deer limping. So our deer may be a regular. He gets around, even if he does limp. But I haven't seen any more deer for a couple of weeks, no turkeys either, just birds and squirrels.

@mcurtt Awwwwwww, poor guy. I hope he isn't injured. At least he came back this year.

@Angela Toucan Thank you! A couple of days ago we had three deer on the property, they were all together, 2 with antlers, 1 without (and a bit smaller). But it was really past dusk, so there wasn't a lot of light out there. I took some pics, but I'm going to have to do some serious photo cleanup if I want to use any of them. They turned out blue (because of the dusk). I tried removing the blue, but I got weird highlights. I may have to turn them into black & white & boost up the contrast. We'll see...

I knew this was yours as soon as I saw it. I am going to attempt to base my Rachel Jefferies page on this for January. Thanks for the inspiration, Marilyn!!
