My journaling reads:
As I sit in the quiet of a house once filled with laughter and the sound of tiny feet, I can't help but reflect on how quickly time has passed. My baby, once so small and dependent, has now flown the nest, carving out a life of her own. The silence feels heavier now, a reminder of the many moments we shared that are now memories. Still, I know this is what we prepare them for—to fly, even if it leaves us grounded in a new kind of stillness. There’s pride in seeing her grow and thrive, but also a bittersweet ache in my heart. This is the natural course of things, I remind myself, even as I learn to embrace the quiet and the space she's left behind.
