Tia and I are going to teach a paper scrapbooking class in May. I bought a couple packs of paper that contained some absolutely gorgeous papers. I so liked the black floral paper with butterflies. I signed up for the Heart of Scripture class at The Lilypad. The class doesn't officially start until May but they had an early session to make a traveler's notebook journal. It just seemed meant to be that I would use the floral paper for the cover. Tomorrow I am supposed to be getting my Amazon order of a long arm stapler so I can staple the booklet. Right now I have a hairband I got at the Dollar Tree holding the pages in place.. Those hairbands are so versatile for so many things.
I love how you incorporated the cut outs on your page. And that hairband is such a cool idea! :)

This is beautiful!! Love how you used arrows for the cutouts, it's something different that I wouldn't have thought of!

I like the way you cutout the title and those arrows, particularly as there are some elements peeking through - very nice.

Jan, what a beautiful use of the cutouts with the arrows and the title of your page. I love the pop of rose-pink pretty papers underneath. The pattern and the solid papers are definitely eye popping!! So pretty!

wow Jan!!!! LOVE your hybrid work!!!!! so amazing that you get to teach a class!!!!
love the booklet, maybe you should make a page for each and show them bigger posted here in the gallery! Love your tittle work, and, to answer to your forum comment, yes, I can definitely tell it is a cut out! the shadows do show it well!!! love how you played the colors of the patterns in the arrow matching with a solid in the title, one of my favorite details here are those drawn/stamp arrows pointing to the date making another shape almost.... gorgeous hybrids and gorgeous way to feature them in the page here!!!! Thank you so much for playing with us!!!!

This is SO cool Jan! I love that you used a hairband to hold your booklet in place! I didn't have the long arm stapler either, so I just sewed my little booklet with my sewing machine. I'm afraid it's going to tear the pages apart like perforation though. Hope not! Maybe I should get a stapler too! :)
