Rich’s family heritage is Polish Ukrainian on his mother's side. Our Piggly Wiggly grocery has a Polish section in their ethnic food aisle. I thought it would be fun to make up Easter baskets with Polish foods. I bought Pea, Mushroom, and Vegetable Soups to put in the baskets. And, I bought what I think is a sweet treat the Chalwa. I thought we could all take a slice of it at Easter to see if we like it. Rich saw the soups when I took this picture so he wanted some tonight. He loves the mushroom. Now his basket will be one soup short. I may go back and get the Buckwheat Soup. I didn’t buy that flavor because I wasn’t sure we would like it. Rich looked up how it is made and he is intrigued. 4-17-19
