Starting the week off calm and quiet to pick up strenght for working. Christopher O'Regan [Swedish historian] releases a new member video on Youtube, and it's super interesting. But the main thing this week has been all about Dalabiblioteken [our neworganization of all the libraries in the county]. On Wednesday we have education all day and on Thursday we open up the doors. New computer system, and all the patrons have to sign our new agreement and get new library cards. I work Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, and it's super busy all the time. I get totally dizzy from all the new things. But, the new system is better, and once you get used to it, it will be terrific. Some are more frustrated about it, and it gets a bit whining at times, but on the whole, we help out eachother and push forward. At times it feels like there's more staff than patrons, and I take the chance, and tidy up a bit on the shelfs.
It's more or less lovely winter weather all week. On Thursday it's my 56th birthday, but it's sort of forgotten due to all the new stuff at work. But we do get some thai take away for dinner to celebrate. On Friday I celebrate by, even though I start late, get in to work with Urban, and goes to Kaffestugan [café] and have breakfast. It was nicer than planned, cuzwhen I sat there Britt, one of our patrons, came, and we had coffee together. Really nice. May I be as happy and positive as she is, when I'm over 80 years. When we get home on Friday, I had got a wonderful bag as a gift from Zarah and Markus. You can never have too many feminist unicorns! Not much time for TV this week, but I start reading Mommie Dearest. On the Sunday, I prepare tons of food, Borscht among other things.
