@Electra I wouldn't know what to Google either!! It kind of looks like a carnation bud in the petals, but a thistle of some sort at the base. Too bad they didn't have any signs around LOL

@bbymks5 OMG, you have The Grand Canyon, and Bryce Canyon and Zion just next door! I think Arizona has THE MOST amazing landscapes and loved the Petrified Forest when we were there! It is a magical place!:thumbsups
