For the Hear My Voice challenge #8 Building, I created this layout about the building of the house/home of my childhood. My parents lived there for 57 years. The second page is underway.
great photos and lovely paper choices. This is reminding me of my days as a site engineer overseeing the concrete pour. I'm looking forward to seeing page 2.
@Angela Toucan, thanks. I'm glad to trigger memories for you. In his last 6 years or so when construction was booming near me, I took photos to explain what I learned about concrete pours in a half-block-sized high rise as I looked down on one a few blocks away. We both found the construction of the foundation interesting as well as the pouring of the slab floors. He never did any work on highrises so I took photos and we'd talk about it. I'd leave the photos with him so he could show them to his friends. That was a nice time...
Your layout beautifully captures the dedication and hard work that went into building a home filled with decades of memories. The vintage tones and journaling add a nostalgic touch, making it a great tribute to your family's history. Thank you so much for playing along in Rachel and Lynn's mixed media challenge.
