That is one prolific tree! I love seeing the many ways of dealing with the harvest. Also, maybe a local food bank would like some? Just a thought...
 
@QuiltyMom @Tree City Strangely enough, last year we moved here in January and didn't get one piece of fruit on the tree that summer, so we didn't even know what kind of tree it was! Then this year, about 150 pounds of fruit. Just crazy! I'm pretty sure the tree was thanking us for picking the fruit and relieving the branches of the weight. One of our friends said that Italian prune plum trees cycle between years of boom and bust, so next year might not be like this. We'll probably donate to the food bank next time. We're working on apples now … :)
 
Ah, so fun! Love the title work and your photos scattered around the tree. 150 lbs! That's pretty amazing.
 
@ashleywb We couldn't possibly use all the plums and gave about half of them away. Still, I have enough plum jam, etc. to last us until next year. :)
