Journaling reads: It is hard to imagine a time when I haven’t been with you. We were married young, I was still 20, you had just celebrated your 25th birthday a few days before. We never did have children, so it is just the two of us. And this year, we celebrated our 45th wedding anniversary. We had no set plans, but we decided that morning to drive to Woodstock. There was an antique store we wanted to check out. And we made a day of it, complete with lunch and a leisurely drive there and back. A milestone anniversary, we were able to spend the entire day together, I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect time. We managed to set the little point and shoot camera on the railing outside of the antique store. You were sitting on a bench and I ran into the frame before the timer went off. The photo looks a bit odd, but it is only one of two that were taken to commemorate this event. And as far as I’m concerned, it is a perfect snapshot of where we are, forty-five years of marriage, still holding hands, caring for each other, not regretting that momentous decision so many years ago.
Congratulations on 45 years. I wish I could read your journaling but the dark type against the dark paper is too much for my eyes. I like all the colorful papers against the black background.
Congratulations to you and John. I love the picture and to me it just looks very "real". It's perfect for you two. The dark background really makes it stand out.
