Description
@keepscrappin @Cherylndesigns Thank you both! I did find out that it was common practice in Tijuana to paint donkeys to look like zebras for the tourists. Cart owners would set up a wagon with the painted donkey & then charge a fee to have tourists take a photo with it. Featured are DH's paternal grandparents, taken in 1952. I still learn something new every day. :-) What is even more fun is that I found a newspaper clipping (that I've incorporated onto my personal layout) describing their trip and references Tijuana. John's grandmother (Elaine) worked for the owner of the newspaper, so they were mentioned quite often.
