Actually, I'm so tired and just wanted to peek into the gallery and then go to sleep right away, but now I've seen your charming layout and had to write something right away -> it's sooo cute and I love that dog's face expression and the patterns which all complement each other so well - so perfectly done♥
@CharlotteM@Cherylndesigns@Electra@Rikki Thank you all. Jack was a sweetheart. He passed away in June 2016. And the way we figure, he was either 13 1/2 or 16. So he lived a long life. We were his third owners and it took him almost a year before he trusted us and felt comfortable in his new home, so I don't know how well he was cared for previously. When we got him, we were told by his previous owner that he was 1 1/2 years old. However the vet thought that by the condition of his teeth, he was closer to 4. Hence the age variance. It could very well be that the vet was right, and the previous owner didn't want Jack's true age to come out since older dogs aren't as easy to find new owners for. But we did have 12 years of fun with him. He was our first dog, we have still not replaced him. The freckling is common of Australian red heelers, and he was a mix, but primarily red heeler... And yes, he was a happy dog, but I don't have too many shots of him looking quite this happy.
