the photo is the one that featured in every hospital in Argentina in the 50's and I think it still did at least until the 80s. There was a bit of a mystery about who the photographer or model were, this was extremely iconic in the country. I found an interesting story about it here but is in Spanish. The model was Muriel Mercedes Wabney, Argentine, the photographer was Francisco Perez, born in Murcia, Spain, moved to Argentina in 1913. The idea of using the photo in hospitals especially in maternity wards and waiting rooms was of the Argentine Juan Craichik. TFL!
