Journaling Reads:
Ellen chose the weekend of the Snow Hill Oyster Roast to have Dad’s Interment Service so that we could all go to the Oyster Roast the following day. It’s something I’ve always wanted to go to. I don’t have any good photos other than the one above of the stamp on my hand and the others of Jim and I enjoying a glass of wine at Tides & Vines -- one of the stops on the Oyster Roast. We stayed in the Air B and B downtown again where we’d stayed in January to clear our Dad’s house so we were right in the thick of things. What I didn’t know is that the reason I wasn’t feeling great was that I had COVID! We still enjoyed the event but had to go back to our room early to nap. It was still great to spend time with Joe and Emma who stayed for part of the festival and with Ellen. Kate and Ron had to go back to Baltimore on Saturday evening so couldn’t join us.
I sort of cheated -- that's a piece of beautiful patterned paper clipped to the mask on the template and sized to make it work. It did take a bit of tweaking.
Such a bittersweet page. I am so sorry for your loss. I am no stranger to clearing out the house, you are blessed to have family around to help and I love that you got to enjoy the Oyster Roast while you were at his internment. Such a sweet page.
