Thank you for looking. Created for the These Moments Matter month of challenges by Pixels, Paper and Paint - Life in Pictures by Lynn & Rachel. Prompt #5 - Overlooked Details
There are so many overlooked details here.. starting with Google Maps saying this is Roman ruins and home to a cat colony. It IS of course all that... it is also a place where Julius Caesar was assassinated, which is somehow overlooked to the extent that nothing but a tiny plaque mentions it. You too, Brutus??? Then there is the weather - stifling 35 degree heat - there were hardly any tourists around. And my daughter's interest in criminology - in the photos she's trying to look up as much info as she can on what exactly happened the day of the assasination, brimming with enthusiasm, muttering to herself and shaking her head, jumping up and trying to compare what she was seeing with her own eyes to the drawing plans she'd found on her phone, reading the description of where Caesar stood and trying to spot the remains on that particular column.
