Oude Graaf

Description
MOC 13 Day 16

Journaling translated:
The Oude Graaf (Old Earl) is a watercourse in the Weerterbos, dug to drain water from the wet forest. This unique area was once marsh and heath. In the last century, it was used for forestry. A complex system of ditches and sand ridges was constructed for this purpose. Now, Limburgs
Landschap is restoring nature by making the forest wet again. Over time, the Oude Graaf will be routed around the forest.

Created with Pocket Full Of Pebbles Collection by Lynn Grieveson and Rachel Jefferies
Great photo and storytelling. Love the lines that draw the eyes to the far end of the canal and the elements you have used to enhance the nature feeling. Thank you for joining the challenge!
