Journal reads: Not even 10 years old yet and you are in that stage where mom is no longer cool and embarrasses you! I am sad that it has come so soon. My oldest daughter is becoming a teen-ager and I can’t stop her. I knew the time would come, but I miss the days you danced around in your frilly pink dresses and wanted to cuddle on my lap and watch the Wiggles. Now, nothing is good enough for you anymore. You try so hard to fit in and I don’t blame you. I remember that age quite well. You demand the name brand clothes and the most popular toys. I hate to admit I give in. I want you to be I happy and feel as if you are a part of the “in” crowd. Of course I also make you earn those things with chores and good behavior. I am proud to admit even though you have your moments... and trust me they are coming more and more lately, I am lucky to be blessed with such a sweet and caring daughter like you; even though most days you are making me sprout white hair from your talk of “boyfriends” and how soon I will be teaching you to drive! Miss B, you are so wise beyond your years and we have had that “talk” already about 100 times. I do not need to worry about you, but like all moms I do. I want the best for you always. I know you are getting older. A pre-teeny bopper now who enjoys Tyler Swift and Justin Bieber, but to me you will always be that tiny little princess dancing around the living room in that pink frilly dress.
