so you are a master of everything! this is rich, moody and elegant! what is your secret to shadowing on black /very dark backgrds? i find that really difficult personally
@bellbird Hi! Yes, shadows on a dark background are tricky. I typically prefer "linear burn" for shadows. BUT, on dark backgrounds, I may convert to "multiply." In this layout I have shadows in both linear burn and multiply. Multiply tends to be those things that are directly over the black paper. Additional settings are 90 degree angle, 91 distance, 0 spread, and 87 size. Ultimately, I tend for things to be further away (like they are floating), and soft and fuzzy. I don't 100% keep to the same settings for every item - just depends on how "close" I want them to look to the item underneath.
I forgot to mention opacity - because that is key too. For items using multiply, opacity is set to around 70. For those with linear burn, opacity is all the way down to 16 (the ribbon was kept on linear burn with opacity 16).
