oh Lynn.. so very sorry re your daughter not taking her camera to DC. I remember when I was in HS and the chorus had a competition in DC.. I ended up going at the last minute and was glad I had my 110 camera we even went to the zoo to see ling ling.. back then it was 1979... I regress. I am surprised the students weren't allowed to bring their phones. I love though that you scrapped the page .. a photoless page with your feelings and at least doumented that your daughter left this morning and the whole story. Love your use of the Snapshots collab. Beautifully done. the alphas you used are perfect too! well done. Maybe someone else brought their camera and she can get you digitals that she might be in, so you can still scrap it for her Great page!
What a fabulous layout! I love your cluster, it's gorgeous! The titles look great and really get your message across! I'm with Christa, I am sorry that your daughter doesn't have her camera with her. So glad that the students were able to go and I am sure that she will come back with wonderful memories for you to journal about. Maybe you can just download photos from the Internet if you aren't able to get photos from her friends. I might have to scrap lift your cluster!
Love your layout. Hope your daughter has a wonderful trip with lots of good memories. Sometimes I think we are so much into documenting with our cameras/photos (afraid we will miss some opportunity) that we fail to just enjoy the moment. There are always words (journaling) and postcards to buy and even photos on-line that can be paired with those memories.
