What I was saying at the chat, there isn't ONE element that makes the focal point, in here you did what I already suggested, that you do it without knowing.
The focal point here is directed to the photo by the sign, your awesome title work by choosing the alpha you chose, going bold with color contrast, and making the journaling fit in the space so there is a block of attention to the eye. This is an AWESOME page!!!! I will post it as an example in the post now!!!!!!
