Sounds like a cool trip and looks so much more 'textbook Autumn' than anything I've ever seen here (So I take it that there is an actual list of states you guys physically check/tick off? Is there like criteria by the sounds of your journalling? Maybe it doesn't count if there's no brewery?! Or like we transitted thru an airport in Denver when we went to the US so my DH bought a shotglass at the airport, and I was like 'this doesn't count, we haven't actually seen any of Colorado ' but he's like 'we're here, I'm buying the shotglass as proof' - possibly TMI but it goes to what I may have detected in your journalling
@bellbird haha good question. Usually we check a state off our list when we've had at least a meal or experience there. This one is actually a joke because on our first visit to Vermont (the neighboring state) a few years prior, we walked across a bridge into New Hampshire, and I said I counted it since we went "hiking" in New Hampshire lol We don't count layovers where we didn't leave the airport, but I love that your husband still bought the shot glass in Denver. Makes for a funny story in itself, just like this one!
