National-Doughnut-Day

Description
Journaling: Jim celebrates the one hundredth anniversary of the “Salvation Army Doughnut”. In 1917 brave women volunteers served the tasty confection to the front line troops in Europe to boost morale. In 1938, the Salvation Army in Chicago created National Doughnut Day to honor these women and to raise funds for the needy.

CREDITS: "Upside of Down", etc by Danyale; "Sunshine & Sand", Bella Gypsy; vintage photo is in the public domain.
I love all of your layouts celebrating the particular "day." The journaling on this one is SO interesting. Love the polka dot paper and the great vintage photo you were lucky enough to find.
