Journaling:
Raileigh is my running buddy. She also has asthma. We ran our first 5K together. I forgot her inhaler and she had an asthma attack approximately a mile into the race. She didn’t quit, though. Raileigh crossed the finish line, received her medal, and headed straight for the medical tent.
That experience would be enough to make most people not want to run. Raileigh didn’t quit, though. She has completed four 5K races and ran numerous other races including 400m, half mile, and one mile races.
Her goal is to improve her time on her 5K and then begin training for a 10K. She wants to run a half marathon when she turns thirteen. I admire her perseverence and am honored to have such an amazing running buddy.
@Amson I used the Mommyish style on the white background of this page. It was just the white background (basically a white filled square) that I open to start a page with the style added.
