For November's Journaling Challenge at The Lilypad
Music is a huge part of my family. My Dad was a preforming musician by the time he was 13 years old. My Mom has been a music teacher for most of her life and shes taught so many children how to play the piano and to sing. My brother grew up playing music and now is a signed recording artist. The music gene seemed to have missed me, and I was always okay with that. I learned how to play the violin when I was young and sang a little, but I was never passionate about music unless I was listening to it. Watching you sit at the piano for the first time and pluck at the keys one-by-one instead of fist pound them was such an amazing moment. I held my breath and knew then that the music gene only skipped one generation. I was so proud, it is still hard for me to find the words. Since then you have learned some chords on the guitar and have learned to play the drums, even preforming several songs. You always have a song in your heart my little music man.
