I was beyond thrilled when this Celtic pendant watch came in my January “Ireland” box from Quaintly & Co. from Mullingar Pewter.

The artisans at this Irish company handcrafts all of their pieces via traditional methods using the finest-grade pewter. Their pewter products are comprised of copper, tin & antimony (as opposed to tin & lead found in original pewter - no lead poisoning for me, thank you very much).

The “Triquerta” or “Trinity Knot” is found in the famous Kells manuscripts and is one of the many religious symbols representing the Holy Trinity - God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. It is also found in other Celtic beliefs and represents earth, sky & sea & the three stages of life - youth, adulthood & old age. This piece is heavy & so well made, and I will wear it with pride.
