This story was told to me by a friend
"The city. Autumn. Nasty cold pouring rain. I am standing at the bus stop with my young son. I feel heavy and desperately ill. There has been no public transport for a long time and I catch a taxi. A car (not a taxi, but a private car) stopped and the driver took me and my son to where we needed to go. When I wanted to give money, the man refused to take it and said: "Yeah, what, I can't earn money for myself?" It was not difficult for him to help us and he did it unselfishly".
This story was told to me by a friend almost 40 years ago. And I remembered her story for the rest of my life, because I had the feeling that it happened to me. And now, if I can help someone, I do. And I think about this person again and again, because he influenced my worldview through his actions.
