Journal says: To my daughter on this special day as you become a mother. You will grow so much as you move through this new role in your life. It's okay to feel unequipped or unsure of yourself. Remember that through this journey you will laugh, cry, yell, worry, teach, schedule, clean, smile, sleep and learn. You know my philosophy that motherhood is the most important job we can traverse. Don't let anyone make you feel that if you are not working outside of the home, you are "just" a stay at home mom! You are the best person to train Ruth up. Don't be afraid to tell your children when you mess up. It helps them learn about truth and expectations. Share your successes and life lessons with them, too.
