2020 was an extraordinary year for all of us. The fact that we were suddenly no longer allowed to see each other as a family was a challenge for us that bothered us all. We saw each other on Skype, but that's not the same.
To spend Easter without each other, has hurt us and it was hard for any of us.
After the lockdown was lifted, we met for the first time in Dresden and hiked to Pillnitz Castle.
It was so good to at least see us again, even if we had to keep our distance. Jamie looked a bit strange at first, he was just too young to just recognize his grandparents and aunt after weeks. But it didn't take long and he laughed at us like before.
This photo was taken when we had a coffee to go on the terraces of Pillnitz Castle on the river Elbe and I think you can see how happy we were all.
