Text is hard to read since the "layout" got smaller - it is 343 words and is posted below. Because I would consider a traveler's notebook something I'd be doing while I was traveling, I wrote the journaling as if I'd written it right when I was on this vacation. What makes this connection even more amazing is she's from NE and I'm in TX
"Yesterday morning we headed to breakfast at the Caribbean like we have this entire trip. As we were walking through the outside sitting area, I heard my name. I looked at Eric and the kids, and neither had said it or heard it. I heard it again and in bewilderment, looked up to find Dale & Marcia sitting a few tables from where we were. I stood there in amazement for a moment, and just couldn't believe my eyes!
We all floundered and talked over each other in absolute amazement. Rachel and the family were still getting ready back in their room. So what is absolutely crazy about this moment in time, is that Rachel was supposed to be going to Disneyworld in the fall. And we planned our trip only like 3 weeks ago when Eric was hired at Cobra to celebrate being employed again after 18 months of unemployment. Neither of us knew the other was going to be there! And of all the resorts in the Kingdom, we chose the SAME resort! And then we happened to be eating breakfast at the same time.
It just blows my mind to think that had we been a few minutes later, or even earlier we could have missed them. If we'd have gone in the front door and eaten inside, we could have missed them. Imagine our absolute frustration had we gotten home and realized we were at the same resort at the same time. So it's just incredible to me that God took that moment in time to sit down one of my dearest and oldest friend's parents at a table near where we were going to walk.
We enjoyed breakfast together, but unfortunately yesterday because we didn't have Park Hopper we were kind of stuck going to Hollywood Studios. But today we enjoyed the morning together at Magic Kingdom until they had to split up to make a reservation over at EPCOT. God surely knew that we needed to "bump" into each other at the Most Magical Place on Earth!"
