"On the winter holiday, I planned a little getaway with Vlad to Brasov. Adi said he has a lot of work and can't come.
The first day was terrible, because the road was very crowded, and both our phones broke up and left us without GPS, which made it very hard for us to find the hotel that was on a very small street that no one seemed to know where it is.
The next day was my birthday. In the morning, at breakfast, we were in the restaurant making plans about how to spend our day, when Adi came in, as if it was so normal to be there. He came and took me in his arms and told me "Happy birthday!". He made me such a wonderful surprise!
We spent the day together, and it was really a beautiful day. We drove to Rasnov where we visited the Rasnov Fortress, and took a ride with the funicular. After that we went to Bran, at a local restaurant to have a traditional lunch. After that, we visited the Bran Castle, also known as Dracula’s Castle. In the evening we arrived back in Brasov and drove Adi to the train station, because he really needed to go to work the next day."
Sounds like a magical Birthday!! Love the angle design and your journaling fit within some of those squares! Bran castle, what was that like in person!? I would love to visit any castle in my lifetime, especially with history!
@Sokee , the castle was named after the small village where it was build, in Transylvania.
"Bram Stoker’s character, Dracula, is a Transylvanian Count with a castle located high above a valley perched on a rock with a flowing river below in the Principality of Transylvania.
This character is often confused with Vlad Tepes (Vlad the Impaler), sometimes known as Vlad Dracul, who was a Walachian Prince with a castle, now in ruins, located in the Principality of Wallachia. Because Bran Castle is the only castle in all of Transylvania that actually fits Bram Stoker’s description of Dracula’s Castle, it is known throughout the world as Dracula’s Castle."
