A year ago the school moved to a temporary location. From the old and familiar Pater to the Pastoor. As toddlers you went there when it was still a daycare center. From January 2018 it is your school. We were eagerly awaiting the start of the building works. First the inside needed to be stripped. Then the demolishing would start.
But it didn't, due to all kinds of arguements and problems. The summerholidays came and went, Verel changed location once more and at the start of the new schoolyear the old school was still standing.
It wasn't until december that the demolishing finally started. De machines went to work and before we knew it the schoolbuilding was gone. The Pater turned into a huge pile of rubble.
All that debris now has to be grinded down. Once that is done, the building of the new school can start. Hopefully all goes well from here on so in twelve months we will finally be able to move to a wonderfull new schoolbuilding.
