Journaling reads:
This picture is one of the few pictures taken of me as a child. I was between 18 - 24 mths old when this was taken. My mother had portraits done of the
four of us - all with a nautical theme. Vickie and Tina had outfits similar to mine, but they were pant suits and Carl was in a navy blue nautical pant suit -the style of the late 60’s early 70’s. This image is actually a picture of a picture. The original was in my Grandpa and Grandma Dell’s house
in California when I saw it for the first time. I was 18. Prior to that I hadn’t seen any pictures of me as a young child before school age. I was immediately enthralled with this photograph and I wanted to take it with me. But Grandma Trudy was adamant that it stay in her house. When she passed, all of her pictures were given to a careless aunt, who stored them in her garage. Later, her children, my cousins, cleaned out the garage and threw away items they thought were junk. Now all I have is this picture of a picture.
