journaling about my nickname: 192 words, poorly translated by google, sorry:
My name is Maria Fernanda, a compound name, something very common here in Brazil. That alone is enough to have dozens of ways people call me, depending on the degree of intimacy we have, where we met, the situation involved. My nickname "Ferdy" I use mainly in the world of scrapbooking came in a way that my sister affectionately called me, a possible variation of my middle name, Fernanda; she called me Ferdinanda (as in the band Franz Ferdinand ... or in the character of the Bull Ferdinando, of the drawing). Then Ferdinanda became a habit for my sister, and could be complete: Maria Ferdinanda, or summarized, Ferd. After that, a friend heard, she thought it was cool and she started calling me by the nickname in the short version, Ferd .... until today she calls me that. When I went to register in the scrap forums about 12 years ago, I did not know which nickname to use, and I thought of using Ferdy, now with the "y" in the end, because I thought I would have a more international appeal, since my name is not very familiar to natives of English language.
gorgeous again!!!!! tao bom her vc de volta scrapping!!!! o LO e lido, super amazing how the feel of the clean lines with the more "hand made" papers and elements works, gorgeous photo (as usual!!!) and the translation is good!!! I think the adding the y in the end, more than making it more familiar for the English language, it sounds like we pronounce it? At least Cariocas & Bahianinhas would pronounce the "d" as an almost e or y? anyway, great page, and one again great to have you back scrapping!!!
@MrsPeel thank you, thank you!!
I think it is something crazy for me to be on the MOC, and create so many LOs after my long hiatus...but it was something worth it! and yes, the "Ferdy" you should pronounce the d and y(with the sound of an i, not ai), ahahaha!!
