October 12, 2016 a piece of my heart went to Korea. Well actually, it went to the MTC first. It was a happy day, it was a sad day. You were the first to go. It was a decision that didn’t come easy. You struggled inwardly with the decision, but ultimately decided to go. I would have supported your decision either way, but deep down, I knew that it was the right decision to go. The Lord was calling and you needed to answer. It still seems surreal that you are living a life so different from your first 18 years and in a country far far away. You have been out 15 months now and I still get teary when I read your emails and get your Skype calls. I still get teary when I think of you, which is often. You truly took a piece of my heart with you! I also hold you in such awe for doing such a difficult thing at such a young age. The Lord asks much and expects much in return and you are doing it. You are giving all you have to the Lord and the people of Korea...for two years and you are doing it willingly. I will always have so much love and so much respect for you! Until we meet again, I will constantly have a prayer in my heart for you and all that you are doing. With love...always...Mom

      Aw, it's so hard when our kids move away for the first time. Hugs! Loved reading your journaling, you've captured the emotions of this event so beautifully. And love the family photo. Wonderful page. Thanks for playing along with my challenge!
