Matthew planned this moment for months. I’m very thankful that he let Kirk and I be part of it. The plan was to get some photos in front of the castle. Then Matthew asked if we could get one of just Sydney and him. When I walked away I mouthed to the photographer that he was going to propose. They took a couple of photos and then Matthew turned to Sydney and said he had one more thing to do and he got down on his knee and proposed. She was so surprised! It was so cute – she didn’t know what to do, but she did say yes! We were all crying and she called her parents. Then we called Mom. Then we rode Space Mountain and went to the Grand Floridian for breakfast. What a magical morning! I could not have hand-picked a young lady more perfect for Matthew. I am so excited to see what blessings God has in store for them in the future.
