I got a text on my phone that Year One by Nora Roberts was ready for me to pick up.
Shortly after its release date, December 5, 2017, I went to my local library to beg and plead that they purchase it for their inventory. Because the area is so small they know me there. So when the director realized they didn't have Year One on order, she said she would request it. She took my email and said she would let me know when it arrived.
Instead, I got a text. It was already on hold for me. So by 3:25 p.m. I was at the library desk to pick it up. I did my work. I made my people food. I stayed connected. Then I fell into the story and boy is it a good one.
I made it about three quarters of the way through before I just couldn't keep my eyes open any more. I went to bed dreaming of magickal things; Uncanny things.
The next day I tried so hard to be present and stay focused on my people. But the story took a turn. Noah could tell I was getting excited and couldn't leave me alone.
I finished the story less than twenty four hours after I picked it up at the library. Wow. Just ... wow. I cannot wait until November of 2018 for the next installment.
I am going to take the book back today so the next person on the list can enjoy the story and thank Tracey for getting the book.
