MOC4 - DAY 20 - ALL ABOUT (JOURNALING CHALLENGE) - the NUMBERS
This came at the right time...although I had to choose between 2 numbers and decided to do this one.
Journaling reads:
What does 1/28 mean to me.....
1/28/86 - my beloved grandfather was buried
1/28/86 - the challenger space shuttle exploded
1/28/98 - I filed for divorce from my 1st husband
1/28/12 - our beloved hedgehog, Coco passed away
and was buried on the side of our house
...it's about time for some happy memories
**with respect to the challenger space shuttle note - we were just back to my grandmother's house after my grandfather's funeral and they turned the TV on for the kids and we were watching the launch during lunch when it exploded - already a sad time and it pretty much rendered the whole family speechless**
I chose a photoless-scrap therapy type layout.
I used UNWRITTEN by FOREVERJOY
RULES:
1. Journal a story of your number(s) with your own words
2. The goal is to document how and why the number(s) are significant to your story
3. You may use word art pieces as part of your design but not as the journaling itself
4. You may make a LIST journaling to capture the significance, word bubbles, diary style, any creative way to make the reader understand the story
5. YOUR significant number must appear somewhere on the page
I sure hope youa re going to add a happy 1/28 to your list this year! You scrapped this beautifully! Love the muted black and white with the pops of lime green and I love your cluster!
Oh dear that is not a good date for memories at all. I have to say you have scrapped these memories beautifully though, using one of my favourite kits.
This is a powerful page. LOVE that you went photo less here. I love the layered pieces of paper in muted tones - so suits the tone here. I also love the pop of green that keeps our eyes trained on the story. And that's what I love most. It's authentic and raw and emotive and there is such an impact in the way you've listed it here. I find myself wishing this date didn't carry so much darkness with it for you. I hope one day it will be a day that holds a spot of sunshine. But what a beautiful page, even in its heaviness.
@scarletsierra Thank you so much...yes, I pretty much pretend that date doesn't happen and hide...I am hoping for some good memories..I think it's about time and thank you for your wonderful words. IT felt great to get it out on paper too...
