This was taken with my first digital camera, a point & shoot Pentax Optio S5i. I didn’t know much about composition or anything at that time. I just loved taking photos! This was taken in the middle of the day. It was overcast, and just a blah day in terms of weather. I don’t really care because this photo holds such strong memories for me! In all my travels, this is still one of my favourite days. I was trying to cram so much into one photo: the hills & vineyards of the Burgundy wine region, the rooftops & the church in the village, the tiny winding road, and the wall which has probably been there for centuries.

As I said in the thread, playing with cropping & photo treatments has given new life to my beloved travel photos! I used five different My Four Hens actions from the Dreamweaver collection: Echo + Simple Brighten + Simple Sally + Edgy (sharpen) + Dream Matte. The greens are a little too saturated, so I need to play around some more with the actions, but overall I’m very happy with the photo!

Thanks for looking & reading my story!
beautiful job Melanie! I love the before & after of the photo and your adjustments are awesome!!

What a LUSH photo - I love that you showed us the original!  So glad you were able to capture a great memory of yours!

I love the detail in the photo and the treatments really make them shine.  The frame is just perfect for the photo.

Really beautiful transformation, Melanie!  Love your beautiful litlle cluster too!

The photo turned out beautifully.  I also love how you simply scrapped it.
