The heirloom I chose is a wooden advent Christmas tree. I remember my maternal grandfather and, after his passing, a neighbor used some of his tools to make this for our family. My mom put it on the kitchen table each Christmas. We removed one Hershey Kiss each day. This year I started using it with my children. I was explaining its significance to my 13 year old last month. Grateful for this challenge so I get it documented.
What a sweet page (no pun intended ) ... Love this Sarah! What a fantastic heirloom to have and to share with your children. I love your wooden advent tree and what a special story to go with it re the neighbor making it with your Grandfather's tools for you Mom.. I love that "Kisses" are put on the advent tree limbs, so not only are you (the children) getting a chocolate at advent, but a kiss too Wonderful storytelling and what a wonderful heirloom to pass through the generations. So glad you scrapped this with the delightful Christmas elements and papers. Thank you for sharing and playing along with my MOC11 Day 7 Heirloom Challenge!
