- (Short version of the story) Our son asked for a Nintendo Switch for what seemed like FOREVER. LOL We hesitated (cost + already owning other game systems). He didn't give up asking. Finally, we encouraged him to save up to buy it himself. Only he earned the money faster than we expected! And during the pandemic when they were hard to get. Wanting to control the use (and make sure he shared with his sister
), my husband made the purchase instead. We told our son how proud we were of him and to keep building his savings.
