Dear Future Me:
I hope that you are sipping your morning coffee, enjoying
the quiet of the morning and looking forward to a
relaxing day as you read this letter that I wrote to
you five years ago. I hope that by now you have enjoyed
retirement for a few years and that you and Dennis
have enjoyed planning and taking trips to the places
you dreamed of visiting. By now your grandbabies
have grown into little people and all three
are in school! It seems like only yesterday
they were babies! Now that you are retired you can
spend time with them regardless of the day of the week it is!
You can attend their school functions and not worry that they
might interfere with work schedules. I hope that today
when the mood strikes you to go for a walk, that you take it.
I hope that if the mood strikes you to stay in bed an
extra hour some morning, you take it! I hope that
you recall how many years you have worked in order
to enjoy retirement! I hope you treasure everyday,
remembering what is truly important in your life ...
I LOVE this!! Love how you made it look like a desk and the ink is the same color as the pen
*I'll be that person who points out a typo - only because I LOVE this and missing the word "not" changes the story. "you can attend their school functions and worry that they might...." I think you wanted the word "not" before worry
@tinkerbell1112 - thanks!! LOL - I checked, double checked and triple checked it too!!! You're right! That one little word sure makes a big difference!!
