For January 2019 MOC Day 20: Inanimate object story
journaling:
This is MY chair! I’ve always told Mum that she had to leave it to me in her will. It is one of a pair that my grandparents had when they married in 1937. It’s very low & slouchy & remarkably comfy for its age. In November 2013 I got my inheritance early, it was taking up much needed space at Mum’s house. It’s had a long life and was at some point recovered by my Grandmother. Since then various cats have decided that the back is good to scratch so it definitely needs some love and attention. Shortly after I got it I bought some fabric to make a slip cover, that was only five years ago and I’ve not quite got there yet. The chair is over 80 years old, I’m sure it has plenty of patience.
I just bought myself a reading chair for Christmas, it's still in the delivery box. The kids have been using the big box as a play table. I'm of the same mind though, plenty of time. I want the rest of the room to look just right before setting up MY chair. Thank you for telling us about your chair. Thank you so much for joining the storytelling challenge!
