I am no longer in love with maths but definitely have favourite numbers.
Thus to pick a favourite letter it would have to be one that is contained in many numbers.
I figured it was an ok choice. ‘C’ starts some of my favourite words: conurbation (thankyou year 10 geography); conundrum and Constantinople. It serves a useful purpose in lazy text messaging. ‘C’ is the Roman numeral for the number 100. It is the symbol for carbon in science. It has a little mystery surrounding it – ‘does that start with a c or a k?’. The more I cogitated over my new favourite letter the more I saw it – in satellite dishes, road signs and aeroplane noses. And finally I realised I can make a ‘C’ shape with my body but can’t make an A or a B or a D – and yes I tried!
