reads: I started playing paddle last year. This year I agreed to be to be the captain. It has been a challenge in many way. between managing my tendency to be a people pleaser, and learning to communicate in a less transactional fashion. I really struggle with text messaging in a cheery way. I still cannot believe I am voluntarily playing a sport outdoors in Chicago winter. The struggles are worth it for the great friendships the sport has led to for me.
