The first dictionary definition I saw of the word lush, “growing luxuriantly”, was the phrase that in the end made me commit to lush as my word this year. Growing luxuriantly is what I want to spend my entire life doing. You see, something that’s lush is not something that grew in the past and then stopped. Something that’s lush is something that’s actively growing right now. The ongoing growth - the growING - is included in the word! And this year, I’m going to grow in full, bright, sparkling, lush COLOUR.
