Many of our ancestors scrapbooked before it had a name! My mom did books for me in those same types of albums. Since they were falling apart I moved everything to
new books.
@trekmom Thank you for the sweet comment!! @HavaDrPepper That is so true! I actually didn't think about that when I chose the books for this challenge, but I'm sure that's probably why I subconsciously gravitated toward them. I'm pretty sure it was my grandfather who put these books together (based on the handwriting) and it's always fun to read his journaling.
I love this Sheri. I love the muted colors here this was the perfect kit choice. I love the photos of the albums. They look like a treasure indeed. Lovely page and memory
Sheri, this is wonderful.. It is wonderful to have these old family albums. I too am the lucky one with the old family photos. I am so grateful for that! The photos from the late 1800's early 1900's are so awesome. I am glad you found these treasures and that you display them in your home, now. I love that they have the photo corners.. you had to lick them to paste them on that black construction like paper (glue tasted yucky! LOL) and i love the torn photo frames you used here as they are perfect for your page to give it that antiquey look. Great title work and I swoon always at your shadows and clusters my dear, and this page is no exception. Fantastic! Thank you for sharing and playing along with my MOC11 day 7 Heirloom challenge.
