Hey there, do you remember the days of cheap petrol? No neither do I. We are now paying over R20 per litre... in fact it's R21.10 this month and that is down from the R23.57 in December. The highest it got to was in July last year at R26.31 - ouch! Our petrol price gets changed at midnight on the first Wednesday of each month... so it's usually a case of if it's coming down, can I make it till Wednesday before filling up? A tank will usually last me 10 days with travelling to work and back every day. For the last few months of last year I managed to work at home for one day a week to help save some petrol. But as the price has dropped this privilege has now been revoked and so it's back to the office 5 days a week. The Greenbug has served me well since I inherited it from Dad in Sept 2012. I enjoy driving this bright green car around. It is especially easy to find in the parking lot when I go shopping as it is often the only green car there! Most cars on the road now are either white or grey... so boring. There are the occasional red or blue ones. Yellow is becoming more popular too. At some stage in the next few years I most probably will need to replace this car... I wonder what I would get and what colour it will be. But for now I will continue to drive the Greenbug and keep putting in petrol every few weeks. Happy traveling into 2023.
