Journaling reads: We have lived on this street since Oct 1996. We've watched the development of our area over the years and seen our neighbourhood change from being almost the last in town to now being in a bustling shopping area. Since we've been here the main road has changed from a two-lane road with stop streets and no streetlights, into a four-lane highway with robots and huge floodlights. There is now a huge mall around the corner and lots of shopping centres within 1km of us. The open areas have been developed into townhouse complexes. Thankfully (besides the barking dogs!) the street has remained fairly quiet, and we don't get too much traffic going by. There are still lots of trees and birdlife in our suburb. This is our little oasis in the busy Jhb life.
