Description
This was my great grandmothers childhood home. 14 kids grew up in this house. Some moved out as adults or were sent away to work and had their own children as siblings were being born. I do not know when the Wade family left the house for good, but this trip back home in 1940 must have been full of wonderful memories as they went to see the old empty homestead and photograph it.

Journaling
No one would know I once
heard the laughter of 14
children, 12 survived,
born from 1890 until after
the first Worlds War. A
fun loving family, full
of pranksters and jokers.
They were hardworkers and
were very close to eachother.
They left me one day and
were gone for a very long time.
I sat empty and alone.
They returned one day in
1940, during a family visit.
It was nice to see them all
grown up, with their own
chidren and grandchildren.
I am so happy to see them
together once again, to see
them thinking about me
with full hearts.

this is amazing, those photos are precious, and to be honest, not sure what you are talking about in the challenge thread about not liking? to me this is awesome!!!! the layering of the ephemera, the gorgeous tone of the whole page goes hand in hand with the journaling, love the font, the whole page is awesome!!! (as you always do!!!) the house reminds me of the summer home my grandpa built for the whole family in the late 40s....gorgeous page Terri, I love it all the way!!!!!!! thanks so much for playing with us!!!!!!!!!
